Dear Parents/Caregivers

The start of a new year. It has been great to welcome our preps as well as new children into other grade levels. It is also wonderful to see so many parents before and after school collecting children.

Preps do not attend school on Wednesday for the month of February. Parents you will receive an invitation to bring your prep child to an assessment meeting with your child's teacher during the month of February. This data collection will assist our teachers to cater the teaching program to your child's needs.

We have a number of new staff this year. Teachers in our P/1/2 area are: Christine Barnes, Ivy Leach, Catherine Leahy and Rachael Taylor. Teachers in our 3-6 team are Joy Dunstan, Rachel Rasmussen and Seaneen Watts. Deb Domas has returned as our Phys Ed and Health teacher, Sharon Higgins will oversee the Visual Arts program and Patricia Mellusco will run our Reading Recovery program.

The 3-6 Leadership Camp to YMCA Bacchus Marsh is happening on Tuesday 13th and Wednesday 14th March. Also currently being developed is an innovative and exciting literacy project embedded within leadership for our P/1/2 classes. Information about both these leadership programs has already started being sent home so please check with your children for notes and invitations.

Have the best term!
