Our School

There is ample space for the students of Dinjerra to play, learn and grow.

As you arrive through our school gates, you will be welcomed to the junior playground and sandpit area, a designated space for our junior students. Our quadrangle with synthetic turf and shade sails is the main place where students gather, and also where we host our weekly school assemblies and events. The buildings in our quadrangle are our junior classrooms, administration, art room, canteen, STEM room and music room.

As we branch out from the quadrangle, we have our Community Vegetable Garden, where our students in Garden Club tend to, plant, water and harvest our vegetables. This area is surrounded by our pergolas, which provide shade and a comfortable seated area.

To the right, our Native Garden, which was designed and created by our volunteer parents, is a fun place to explore a variety of Indigenous flora.

Our Big Tree is the centrepiece of our grounds, surrounded by decking to provide an outdoor learning space for students, and also a quiet play space at play times.

As you venture further into the grounds, to the right and under our enormous native gum trees, we have a newly finished Prep to 6 Inclusive Playground.

There are a variety of activities to play, with 2 gaga pits, a synthetic basketball and soccer pitch, and an abundance of grass space for imaginative and active play.

Our BER building houses our senior classrooms, school library and Out of School Hours Care, facilitated by Kelly Club. Our Multi-Purpose room is an indoor alternative for Physical Education and assemblies.

We have been fortunate enough to receive funding from the Victorian School Building Authority (VSBA) to improve our facilities over the recent years. This has included the major $7.4million upgrade in 2019 to the junior, administration and specialists rooms, and the $200,000 Inclusive Schools Fund upgrade to our school playground, and a generous $50,000 grant from Federal MP for Fraser, Mr Daniel Mulino for our outdoor learning space decking.
